Millions of viewers tuned in to Channel 4's Kitchen Nightmares in November last year and watched staff members get a grilling by the celebrity chef.
After tasting the food at The Priory, Ramsay introduced a new menu and told staff to scrap the traditional carvery, which had been running for 20 years.
Despite offering two for one coupons, the show revealed that the restaurant had been losing £3,000 to £4,000 per week.
However, owner Scott Aitchison believes he can still make a success of the carvery and insists award-winning chef Gordon Ramsay made the wrong decision.
He said: "Trade has been slower since the change. He turned the restaurant on its head. They didn't help us. Gordon upset the customer base, put in a grill and called our customers the 'blue rinse brigade'. What he said was quite rude."
