Now business is booming at this Italian restaurant tucked away in the heart of the Cardigan and Teifi Valley area.  Mike, co-owner and resident chef has been in the business for 20 years.  With Italian roots he has always wanted to bring authentic Italian cuisine to Welsh diners around Cardigan and Teifi Valley.

With the help of one of Britain's top chefs, Mike has developed an exciting menu in his restaurant which includes plenty of Italian cuisine but also farmers' favourites such as Welsh Black steak.

Although not exclusively an Italian restaurant, the Fish and Anchor borrows heavily from the Italian dining tradition, where the best local, seasonal ingredients are used.

The best local and organic ingredients make wonderful dishes.

You'll see that Mike is fussy about his ingredients using good quality Welsh black beef and free range chicken supplied by Jones Brothers Butchers in Lampeter.  Many of the vegetables are organic supplied by local growers.

Cardigan and Teifi Valley with its lush grass, offshore waters and clear rivers is home to wonderful produce such as Cardigan Bay Sea Bass, Teifi Salmon and Welsh Black Beef.

There is something for everyone on the carefully chosen menu which is designed to let the flavour and quality of the local ingredients shine through.
