if you can remember on one of the kitchen nightmares gordon took the kitchen staff to a farm to identify the cuts of steak/beef from a bullock. of course all the chefs got the cuts wrong.

the reason i'm trying to find out this info, is that a new chef has started at the pub i work at.

in his last job, he claimed to have been on the show taken out to a field to identify the cuts of steak or beef.

nobody at work believes him, to come up with this story, a couple of days after the show was aired (late last year, i think??).

his next claim is that he has worked with all the top chefs, including gordon!

if so why the hell is he working for us, must be wrong in the head.

if you remeber the episode let me know, don't need another P***ARTIST in the kitchen, if its true he needs to pull his finger out.

I remeber it well. The staff were lads who were youth offenders and the head chef was an ex con trying to rehabilitate young people. The owner was a right cowboy. The place burn down sometime later that year!!!!!!!!!     It wouldnt matter much if you tested him anyway as cuts of beef are mostly different ( i wote a dissertation on the subject ).  If you want me to sent you a synopsis of the different names in USA/UK  I will post it. Where and how does a tearaway get a work permit anyway to be in the states?HuhHuh?  People exagerate and show off, espcially the youngters. Good luck

That was Toby of the Priory, not the Granary.
