AS far as bunfights go, the Tracy Grimshaw-Gordon Ramsay all-in stoush will go down as one of the best.

Everyone has had a crack, including the Prime Minister (who would probably be best advised attending to matters of state), but did anyone come out a winner?

I guess Tracy scored most points for taking ownership of ACA and delivering an editorial that put the celeb chef in his place.

But then ACA went over the top by showing behind-the-scenes footage of Ramsay which suddenly they decided was offensive.  Yet obviously not offensive enough to even remark upon when the original interview was screened days before.

That was a serious exploitation of the situation, if you ask me.

As for the other players, they certainly didn't cover themselves in glory.

Not Channel 9, that's for sure, which deftly avoided messy housekeeping, such as giving Ramsay's TV shows the heave-ho.

But the biggest loser was Ramsay, who came across as the spoilt bully-boy he undoubtedly is.

When push came to shove, he cried foul about having his wife dragged into the muck.

Did he spare a thought for Grimshaw's family when he called her a pig-woman?

Even when he apologised, he got that wrong by claiming his mother gave him an ear bashing over the incident, which apparently was news to his mum.

Whoops.

Mind you, some people claim it is all part of the self-promoting "genius" of the man.

But you have to question that line of thinking when in the middle of it all, Ramsay blurted out something as stupid as: "My wife (Tana) is arriving in two weeks and I can't wait to take her to Sydney."

Tsk, tsk.

Some Melburnians might retaliate to that and declare that they can't wait for Ramsay to open his big, new, expensive restaurant here, so they can boycott it.
