Albert Roux to launch Scots restaurant

Dec 13 2008

THE man who taught TV chef Gordon Ramsay how to cook is to open a restaurant in Scotland.

Albert Roux will take over the kitchens at the five-star Rocpool Reserve boutique hotel in Inverness in April.

Chez Roux will be the Michelin rated chef's first venture north of the Border and is expected to attract food-lovers from all over.

The official announcement comes seven months after the Rocpool was taken over by the owners of the posh Inverlochy Castle Hotel, near Fort William.

It coincides with a "gourmet weekend" led by 73-year-old Roux being held at the hotel.

He said: "Chez Roux will bring something completely new and unique to the city."
