 A week after selling his LA res taurant, Gordon Ramsay has sold his flagship eatery in Paris because of a credit squeeze.

The Paris restaurant - like the LA one - was less than a year old. Ramsay, the star of "Hell's Kitchen" and "Kitchen Nightmares," has sold Gordon Ramsay au Trianon, located in Versailles, just outside Paris, to the Hilton hotel where the restaurant was a tenant, according to reports.

As before, the establishment will retain his name and the hard-nosed chef will continue as a consultant.

Ramsay's empire of over 30 restaurants in a dozen countries has been under increasing financial stress since last fall.

While the private company refuses to discuss its financial health, it is clear the chef is shedding properties quickly.

Still, his TV shows remain popular, at least in the US. Last week, the ratings for "Hell's Kitchen" were higher for the third week in a row.
