http://www.expressandstar.com/2009/05/12/puppet-show-with-a-difference/Punch and Judy will meet Jeremy Kyle during a special puppet show in Wolverhampton this weekend.
The Professor Vyle Show will be staged at Bantock House this Saturday at 7pm as part of the Carry on Punch and Judy exhibition.
House curator Helen Steatham said: “Local writer and performance poet Emma Purshouse will be staging her one-woman show at Bantock House.
“The Professor Vyle Show explores the traditions of Punch and Judy but takes the characters into the television studio where they have to explain their behaviour on daytime television. It is witty, funny and fast-paced, with a mix of comedy, puppetry and quick costume changes.”
The show is suitable for teenagers and adults and tickets, available from the house, cost £3.
Carry on Punch and Judy, which charts the history of the popular characters, will run until June 7. Puppets include Tony Blair, Gordon Ramsay and Ken Dodd.
