 A MEAT supplier to popular expletive-ridden chef and TV presenter Gordon Ramsay has denied it is chasing the headline-grabbing cook for ‘unpaid bills’.

Essex based Direct Meats 2 You, which supplies thousands of pounds worth of chops, sausages and rump to Ramsey’s top eateries, has a good relationship with the chef, its director said, and is owed no more than usual.

A national newspaper said Ramsay Holdings, the company which handles the Ramsay ‘brand’, owed Direct Meats £50,000, some of which was supplied before Christmas on a seven day payment basis.

But Martyn Cox, director at the Chappell based company, said he has varying payment times for customers, which are longer for the best ones and can be for 90 days.
