Gordon Ramsay is facing another kitchen nightmare after his flagship New York restaurant was savaged by health inspectors.

The Gordon Ramsay at The London, which has two Michelin stars, was given 24 violation points by New York City Department of Health officials after they visited earlier this month.

A repeat inspection is needed for 28 violation points or more.

Faults itemised in a report included "unacceptable surface material" and surfaces "not properly washed".

A Gordon Ramsay Holdings spokesman said yesterday: "Moves have been taken to ensure that it does not happen again."
