Gordon Ramsay's Maze restaurant will open at Crown on Southbank.
The award-winning Maze restaurants, located in London, New York and Prague, offer French-based cuisine with Asian influences and small tasting plates.
"This is our first step in bringing the Gordon Ramsay brand to Australia and after having seen the way Crown operates feel that this is an exciting and challenging opportunity," Ramsay said in a statement issued earlier today.
Crown's chief executive officer David Courtney said Ramsay's restaurants were renowned for being stylish and contemporary.
"Maze will be hugely popular and will be a major drawcard for local, interstate and international visitors," Mr Courtney said.
Ramsay is the latest in a line of celebrity chefs who have set up restaurants in Melbourne, following Nobu Matsuhisa' Nobu, also at Crown, and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen.
