  Gordon Ramsay Rules
By Logical Meme

For about a year now, I’ve been a huge fan of Gordon Ramsay. He’s a huge celebrity in the U.K. and has sorta broke here in the States with the Fox show “Hell’s Kitchen”. I never really get around to checking out that show, and strongly prefer his other shows “The F-Word”, a magazine type show about food, and especially “Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares” a reality-style program where Gordon troubleshoots failing restaurants. (The best and funniest episode is from Season 4, when he tries helping “La Parra de Burriana” in Nerja, Spain (which is a seaside restaurant being run by a British expat chef.)

First off, Ramsay is one of the most accomplished and celebrated chefs in England. His intuitive knowledge of what is ‘not working’ in a kitchen is great to watch. The guy is funny as hell but what’s most endearing about him is his straightforward candor and (sometimes) brutal assessments, and well as his fiery temper delivered in a foul-mouthed Scot-English accent (hence the “F Word” title of his other show.) When the guy blows his stack it’s hilarious to watch.

If you get BBC America, I encourage you to check out “Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares”. It’s great television. Ramsay will be hosting a U.S. version of “Kitchen Nightmares” later this year on FOX. (The first restaurant slated to be critiqued for this series is Lela’s Fine Dining located in Pomona, California.)

Ramsay is set to be immortalized in the upcoming season of “The Simpsons”:

Celebrity chef GORDON RAMSAY is set to cook up a storm when he appears on long-running cartoon sitcom THE SIMPSONS. The HELL’S KITCHEN star will teach bumbling HOMER SIMPSON how to cook in the episode, but producers have yet to confirm whether the foul-mouthed chef will keep his expletive-laden vocabulary on the family show. Ramsay says, “I was really honoured. I don’t know how they’re going to do it, but I hope they keep the swearing in.”
