Comedian Jim Davidson claims he bedded Sarah Symonds before she slept with Gordon Ramsay.

The stand-up said he slept with the 'professional mistress' after meeting her in a nightclub in 2001 - 18 months after her affair with disgraced former Tory MP Lord Archer.

The one-time Generation Game host, said: "I feel sorry for Gordon. 'This woman isn’t bothered who she hurts."

Davidson, who now lives in Dubai, said he met Symonds at a function and that she had loved the 'cloak and dagger' nature of their affair.

Talking to the Daily Star he explained: "I was single at the time and she was blonde, bubbly, and a lot of fun. She used to call herself Taff2 as a sort of jokey code name. I would get saucy messages from her. She was into all that cloak-and-dagger stuff.'

The four times married comedian said he was shocked when he heard Symonds had been linked with Ramsay.

Symonds, who wrote a book called Having An Affair? A Handbook for the Other Woman, is currently laying low at her family's home in Wales.
