FOUL-MOUTHED celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is the latest big name to be attracted to the splendours of Haltwhistle’s Milecastle Inn.

The famous Scot joined the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Sir Mick Jagger and Fatboy Slim, when he popped in to the pub on Wednesday afternoon.

Customers were taken aback to see Ramsay sitting outside the pub enjoying a glass of wine.

Staff confirmed he had visited the pub but were unclear on his reason for being in Tynedale.

Some customers suggested he had come to see the scarecrow figure of himself that has created for Haltwhistle Carnival’s scarecrow contest.
