http://www.popeater.com/television/article/gordon-ramsays-foul-language-outrages/478043Chef Gordon Ramsay is known for his outrageous foul language, but he caught many viewers off guard when he dropped the f-bomb 115 times during the first 40 minutes of 'Great British Nightmare.' Several viewers filed complaints with the British station, who admitted they "got it wrong" by airing the show at 9 p.m.
The foul language used by Ramsay spurred 51 Channel 4 viewers to register complaints with the station, The New York Post reports. The station was not fined by Ofcom, Britain's version of the FCC.
"We respect that, given the strength of language in the first part of this two-hour special, the program should have been rescheduled later than 9 p.m.," Channel 4 officials said in a statement.
Ramsay's spokesman also issued an apology. "Strong language is a feature of the restaurant business and Gordon is as passionate about his business on screen as well as off," he said.
"Naturally, Ramsay is sorry if some people were offended, but they should know by now that with Gordon there normally comes some pretty choice language," his rep added.
