Hello there
I have been wanting to get into the restaurant business and have always talked myself out of it.  But now I know that there is no better time to go for it then now. I am starting to research locations and possible buildings, I was wondering if there is some things that i should look for like, People to talk to, Investors, etc... I am not a certified chef but i am a pretty good cook.  I guess i am just looking for direction to help me out on this and i hope that you can help

Love the shows and think Gordon is great
not to mention very funny

HOpe someone can help and thank you

From what you write, it sounds like you don't have any restaurant experience at all. If that is the case, I would advise that you go and get a job working in at least two restaurants before you think of opening your own. My local Community College offers low-cost classes on starting a restaurant - stuff like hygiene, finance and local laws, etc. You definitely need some business knowledge/experience to run a restaurant.

Good luck!

The amount of investment necessary to start a restaurant may be the deciding factor for you. Remember that in every business for it to succeed, the owner must have passion and true interest. It can also help if you have experience working on a restaurant, so that you are familiar with every nooks and corners of the business. True Refrigeration

Yes you're right, the sincerity and willingness are big factors to that. I suggest Gazelle, you must build your restaurant near to a place that often has crowded people. You better negotiate to someone that owner of a good location and payment for your planning business.
