The restaurant is $1.2 million in debt, and the owners are hoping that Chef Ramsay will be the ticket to giving them a fresh start.
When Chef Ramsay arrives, J Willy’s doesn’t have anyone running the kitchen. Most of the food prepared at the restaurant is straight from the freezer or out of a can. In order to get things off to a new start, Chef Ramsay tasks the staff with cleaning out the kitchen and throwing away any rotten food.
After the kitchen is clean, Chef Ramsay brings in fresh ingredients. He spends the day teaching the cooks how to make new dishes for the evening’s dinner services. Despite Chef Ramsay’s best efforts, he is dealing with inexperienced cooks, who are easy to fluster. The kitchen spins out of control, and one customer winds up in tears.
Will Chef Ramsay eventually succeed in getting J Willy’s up to his standards? Kitchen Nightmares airs on Thursday, October 30 from 9 PM to 10 PM ET/PT on FOX.
